Matrix Chambers’ extradition law specialist Mark Summers QC speaks with Hong Kong Bar Association Chair Philip Dykes SC, Professor Ian Greville Cross SBS, SC and Sir Geoffrey Nice QC at the Centre for Comparative and Public Law’s Extradition Law and Human Rights: Does the Hong Kong Government’s Bill provide sufficient safeguard for our rights? conference on Tuesday 11 June 2019, 4PM-7.30PM.

The Centre of Comparative and Public Law is part of the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong. The 11 June conference will facilitate a meaningful exchange of views arising from the Hong Kong Government’s Extradition Bill, allowing comparative perspectives to inform the discourse of whether the Bill contains sufficient safeguards for rights. Mark will focus on UK ad hoc extradition practice, and human rights protections in UK extradition cases.
