Yesterday, the High Court handed down judgment in Ministry of Defence v Global Media and Entertainment Limited, discharging a privacy super-injunction contra mundum.
The injunction was granted on 1 September 2023, on an application by the Ministry of Defence, to protect the personal information and contact details of persons who applied for relocation to the UK from Afghanistan following the Taliban coup in 2021.
Following the discharge of the injunction, four (previously private) judgments of the High Court have now been made public. The judgments are available here.
