Phase 2 Grenfell Tower Inquiry Report Reveals Avoidable Deaths and Systemic Failures

Published:

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry has published its Phase 2 report regarding the circumstances of the fire on 14 June 2017 which killed 72 people. The seven-volume report finds that each and every death was avoidable and catalogues a damning litany of findings of dishonesty, malpractice and serious failings leading to the Tower being clad in a dangerously flammable façade, failures in the emergency response on the night and thereafter, and wide ranging failures of organisational leadership, regulation and national oversight spanning successive governments.

Danny Friedman KC, Raj Desai, Ifeanyi Odogwu and Jesse Nicholls (with Liz Davies KC of Garden Court Chambers) acted for the largest group of bereaved, survivors and residents instructed by Bindmans, Bhatt Murphy, Hickman & Rose and Hodge Jones & Allen.
