David’s current research explores the nature of data protection especially as it intersects with the right to privacy, freedom of expression, freedom of information and freedom of research. In addition, David continues to have a research interest in bill of rights and related constitutional developments, especially in the UK and other ‘Westminster’ democracies.
He has authored two books published by Oxford University Press and almost thirty peer-reviewed articles in leading legal, socio-legal and political science journals.
Matrix Chief Executive, Rachel Holmes, says: “We very much look forward to working with David. David is highly respected by both academics and lawyers in his areas of specialism and is regularly consulted on complex data protection and information law issues. With his impressive background and commitment to academic work contributing to informed public debate and shaping positive public outcomes, particularly in the law, David is a huge asset to our media team.”
