Legal Support Service

Dan is the Head of the Legal Support Service and is the lead for handling compliance matters. He started at Matrix in October 2020 after working as a project manager at a digital agency. Before that he spent over a decade conducting legal research and implementing knowledge management practices in a variety of Magic Circle and international law firms.

He is a keen long-distance cyclist.

Donella joined Matrix in June 2025 and is responsible for assisting Matrix members with research support, compiling bundles, and handling calls from members of the public.

Donella has a BA in History with a focus on Human Rights Law from University College London, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law. Prior to joining Matrix, Donella worked as a law clerk at a death row appeals charity in the US and as a paralegal at a legal aid law firm in London.

Outside of work, Donella enjoys exploring London with her rescue dog Nora.

Alex joined Matrix in 2025, having previously worked in the renewables industry and outdoor education. He holds a BSc in Earth Sciences from UCL, and studied for a law degree at Birkbeck, University of London whilst working at Matrix as an OOA. He joined the Legal Support Service team in 2026. In his free time he enjoys reading, and playing or watching almost any sport.
