Matrix member, Luis González García, was quoted in The Times in an article regarding trade agreements and the upcoming appointment of Donald Trump as president of the United States. Trump has pledged to make numerous changes to existing trade agreements and has criticised well-established agreements such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
Luis was quoted commenting about the prospects for a lame-duck vote on the TPP after the US elections. Luis is an international trade law expert, former trade negotiator and negotiated Mexico’s trade deal with Europe.
