The Good Law Project threatens proceedings over appointment of Baron Cruddas to a peerage

The Good Law Project has written a pre-action letter to the Prime Minister in relation to the appointment of Peter Cruddas to the House of Lords. The House of Lords Appointments Commission advised against making Peter Cruddas a Baron and it has recently been  reported that he made substantial donations to the Conservative Party both before and after the appointment. The pre-action letter is seeking a response to allegations of apparent bias in the decision-making process.

Dan Squires QC is instructed by Bindmans LLP to represent the Good Law Project in this case.
