The Covid-19 Inquiry Invited To Consider Structural Racism

The UK Covid-19 Inquiry held its first preliminary hearing for Module 3 yesterday, which will examine the impact of Covid, and of the governmental and societal responses to it, on healthcare systems across the UK.

Ifeanyi Odogwu acts for The Federation of Ethnic Minority Healthcare Organisations (FEMHO) a consortium comprising of over 55,000 members Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic healthcare workers at all levels within the health and social care sectors. He is led by Leslie Thomas KC, and instructed by Saunders Law.

They addressed the Panel on systemic and wider socio-economic factors that may have contributed to the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on minority healthcare workers and their communities.
