Published:

Sir Paul Jenkins QC (Hon) will chair the opening session, “Lost art: Experience of claimants and institutions”, at an international conference on Nazi looted art. The conference, entitled “70 Years and Counting: The Final Opportunity?”, will take place on Tuesday 12 September 2017 and is hosted by Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the UK Spoliation Advisory Panel. It aims to strengthen partnerships, build greater cooperation on spoliation and examine how the process of returning stolen artworks can be accelerated. In 2015 Sir Paul carried out an inquiry for the U.K. Government examining the current system for dealing with Nazi spoliated art in museums and galleries.
