Refusal of access to IVF treatment

The High Court has dismissed a renewed application for permission to judicially review a decision by the Secretary of State for Justice to refuse a prisoner access to IVF Treatment.  Mr Justice Julian Knowles held that the Secretary of State was entitled to conclude that the decision was a proportionate and limited restriction on the Claimant’s rights under Article 8(1) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
