On Friday the Court of Appeal handed down judgment in the case of Re C [2021] EWCA Civ 1527. The Court of Appeal allowed the appeal by the Secretary of State for Justice from the decision of Hayden J, that care workers would not commit a criminal offence under section 39 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 by making practical arrangements for C to visit a sex worker.
