Matthew Ryder KC Appointed to the Premier League Board

The Premier League Board has unanimously voted for Matthew Ryder KC to join as an independent non-executive director. His position on the board will start immediately. Matthew joins Alison Brittain (Chair) and independent non-executive directors Mai Fyfield, Dharmash Mistry and Richard Masters.

The League’s five-person Board oversees the commercial management and operation of the Premier League, including protecting the integrity of the competition. It is responsible for implementing the League Rules and resolving disputes, as well as making recommendations and proposals to clubs on matters of importance.

Matthew is delighted to join the board as has been “struck by the Premier League’s unique capacity to have a positive impact on people’s lives through its inspiring football and community initiatives.”
