Matrix’s Hugh Southey QC in Cayman Constitutional arguments

The Grand Court of the Cayman Islands held a 2.5 day preliminary hearing in a judicial review brought on behalf of Justin Ramoon and Osbourne Douglas Monday-Wednesday 28th-30th May 2018. The key preliminary issue is whether the case should be tried in London, or the Cayman Islands. Hugh Southey QC of Matrix has been arguing that the Grand Court should determine all claims brought under the Bill of Rights of the Cayman Islands. Hugh is instructed by Prathna Bodden of Samson Law, and Laurence Aiolfi of Priestley’s.
