Published:

Jonathan Glasson QC, Sarah Hannett, Karon Monaghan QC, and Aileen McColgan are all judging at the UK’s first mooting competition dedicated to the consideration of sexual orientation and gender identity law. The mooting competition and networking forum will bring together LGBT+ and ally students, practitioners, and members of the judiciary. The competition has been named in honour of Baroness Lynne Featherstone. Lynne was the architect of the equal marriage legislation in England & Wales, commissioned the first ever UK government transgender action plan, and campaigns for LGBT+ rights internationally. The 2015-16 competition is scheduled to take place on Friday 4–Saturday 5 March 2016, in the New Academic Building at LSE on Lincoln’s Inn Fields in central London.
