The High Court today has decided in favour of the National Aids Trust in a high-profile decision regarding the funding of the “highly effective” pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), a treatment which has been shown in several cases to prevent HIV being established when it is transmitted. Karon Monaghan QC was involved in this case, acting for the National Aids Trust in their successful challenge.
