Jonathan Glasson QC is this week’s Lawyer of the Week in The Times for his work acting for the government with Sir James Eadie QC and David Blundell QC in the Supreme Court, which unanimously upheld the Secretary of State’s decision to refuse Shamima Begum leave to enter the UK. The Supreme Court’s decision followed Ms Begum’s challenge to both the decision to deprive her of citizenship and the decision to refuse her leave to enter the UK that was heard by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC).
