We are delighted to announce that Jonathan Glasson KC has been appointed as a legal member of the Proscribed Organisations Appeal Commission (POAC) with immediate effect.
POAC is an independent UK tribunal that hears appeals against decisions by the Home Secretary to ban (or “proscribe”) an organisation under terrorism laws. It allows individuals or organisations to challenge the government’s refusal to remove a group from the list of proscribed organisations.
Jonathan also sits as a Deputy High Court Judge and is authorised to sit in the King’s Bench Division, the Administrative Court as well as the Family Division. Jonathan will take up this new appointment alongside his full-time practice at the Bar.
