Jessica Simor QC in final shortlist to be the next UK judge in Strasbourg

Matrix is delighted to announce that Jessica Simor QC has been shortlisted to be the next UK judge elected to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. The final three candidates have been assessed by the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on the Election of Judges, as suitably qualified, and the Parliamentary Assembly will now vote on 21-22 June to select the judge. The current UK judge, Paul Mahoney retires on 6 September 2016.
