James Robottom is a contributor to a new book, Public Law and the UK Supreme Court: Key Cases and Decisions, which has been published today.

The book was commissioned alongside its sister text, Private law and the UK Supreme Court: Key Cases and Decisions, to mark the first 15 years of the UK Supreme Court. The volumes bring together expert commentators from across different fields of public law and private law to comment on the key UKSC decisions made since its inception.

The public law volume covers constitutional and administrative law and judicial review, and human rights law. James wrote the chapter on R (AAA (Syria)) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2023] UKSC 42 (i.e. the Rwanda appeal), entitled: The Strong Gravitational Force of AAA .

The books are edited by Lewis Graham (University of Manchester) and Jenny Russell (King’s College London), and can be purchased here directly from the Routledge site and from other academic and legal booksellers.
