The International Bar Association held an urgent meeting on Wednesday 7th October to enable the Bars of England and Wales, Scotland and N. Ireland to discuss the serious challenges to the rule of law raised by the Internal Market Bill.
Jessica Simor QC from Matrix gave introductory remarks and talks were delivered by Lord Neuberger, Dominic Grieve QC and Joanna Cherry QC. The talk was chaired by Baroness Helena Kennedy QC. The webinar, which can be viewed in full here, concentrated on the domestic aspects and the role of the Bar in maintaining, protecting and standing up for the rule of law.
