High Court handed down judgment today in Suceava District Court, Romania v Marian Gurau [2023] EWHC 439 (Admin) on whether there exists jurisdiction under the Extradition Act 2003 to entertain cross-appeals. The High Court held that no jurisdiction exists and that it was for Parliament to decide whether amendment of the Extradition Act 2003, to permit such an appeal, was desirable.

Mark Summers KC instructed by Coomber Rich appeared for the respondent.
