Today the High Court refused Mr Rupert Lowe MP an injunction seeking to restrain the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme from continuing an investigation into a complaint against him. The case will return to the High Court on 17 March 2026 for a determination on the preliminary issue of whether the claim is non-justiciable because of Parliamentary Privilege.

Sarah Hannett KC and Katy Sheridan acted for the Defendant, instructed by Speaker’s Counsel. The judgment is here.
