The High Court is hearing a legal challenge to the Government’s implementation of the ‘Dubs amendment’, concerning the resettlement of unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee children from Europe. The Claimant, Help Refugees, argues that the Government’s consultation local authorities regarding the number of children to be resettled from Europe was seriously defective; that the Government has failed to implement its duties to relocate and support unaccompanied refugee children “as soon as possible”; and that the procedures for identifying eligible refugee children lack basic procedural safeguards and are unlawful.

Edward Craven is representing the Claimant together with Laura Dubinsky and Rowena Moffatt from Doughty Street Chambers.
