A hedge fund manager who claimed he was sacked by his former employer after a relentless homophobic campaign against him abandoned his claim midway through cross-examination. On the third day of his hearing at the Central London Employment Tribunal, Paul Newton dropped the case against Balyasny Europe Asset Management. James Laddie QC represented Balyasny.
