Guy Vassall-Adams KC appointed as Head of Independent Judiciary by BUCS


Guy Vassall-Adams KC has been appointed as Head of Independent Judiciary by British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS).

BUCS is the national governing body for higher education sports in the UK.

Guy will act as a Judicial Panel Chair hearing cases at first instance and on appeal relating to misconduct, bringing BUCS into disrepute and match appeals.

As head of the panel, he will also have overall responsibility for BUCS’ disciplinary and regulatory system, including the recruitment and training of chairs and the allocation of cases.

Guy said, “I’m a passionate believer in the value of sport for young people and I am delighted to be able to help BUCS in this way.”

This is a part-time role, initially for 3 years.

Guy will maintain his full-time practice at Matrix
