Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 1 report published

A report following Phase 1 of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry has concluded that the cladding on the Tower breached Building Regulations and strongly criticised the London Fire Brigade leadership. The report found that there were grave inadequacies in preparation and planning, that maintaining the advice to stay put was wrong and cost lives, and that systematic  evacuation was definitely feasible before 2 am, and remained possible throughout the fire. Whilst the courage and selfless actions of rank and file firefighters was praised, a catalogue of failures in the response to the fire and rescue operation on the night have been identified.

Danny Friedman QC and Raj Desai are instructed by Bhatt Murphy, Bindmans, Hickman Rose and Hodge Jones and Allen, and act for more than 300 of the bereaved survivors and residents.
