The First-Tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber) today handed down judgment in Mermaids v (1) Charity Commission (2) LGB Alliance dismissing Mermaids’ appeal against the Charity Commission’s decision to register LGB Alliance as a charity.
The Tribunal concluded that Mermaids did not have standing to bring the appeal. This is an important case for charity law.
