Danny Friedman QC is this week’s Barrister of the Week in The Lawyer. This follows the judgment in the Court of Appeal on 24th March to quash the convictions of fourteen of the “flying Pickets” known as the Shrewsbury 24, for picketing during the National Building Strikes of 1972. The outcome is the culmination of a long running miscarriage of justice campaign.
Danny leading Ben Newton from Doughty Street Chambers was instructed by Kate Goold and Jamie Potter at Bindmans LLP. They acted for 12 of the appellants in this case.
