The Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) has allowed revocation, asylum and human rights appeals in the case of D8 v The Secretary of State for the Home Department – the open judgment was handed down on 19 October 2023.

D8 was a case involving an Iranian refugee whose refugee status was revoked whilst outside the UK and an exclusion order made. He re-entered the UK clandestinely and re-claimed asylum protection. His appeal was successful on grounds of revocation, asylum and Article 3 ECHR.

Samantha Knights KC and Alex Burrett (One Pump Court) appeared on behalf of the Appellant, instructed by JD Spicer Zeb Solicitors.
