Claire Darwin successful in Court of Appeal medical student fitness to practise case

Claire Darwin, instructed by Gateley PLC, successfully acted for the University of Leicester in the Court of Appeal (and below) in respect of a judicial review claim arising out of a decision by the University’s fitness to practise appeal panel to terminate the registration of a medical student (see example of media coverage here). The Court of Appeal gave important guidance on the approach that courts should adopt to the decisions of fitness to practise panels, fitness to practise appeal panels, and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.
