Ann Maguire coroner’s jury find missed opportunities

The inquest into the death of Ann Maguire concluded on Wednesday 22 November 2017. The jury returned a verdict of unlawful killing and found that there was inadequate communication and missed opportunities which lead to the fatal stabbing of Ann.

After the inquest Mr Maguire said: “The jury has now started the process of learning lessons which should have been started 3 and a half years ago. We want to thank the jury for their careful consideration of the evidence presented. The next step has to be to dig deeper and find out more.”

Nick Armstrong represented Don Maguire and the daughters and sons of Don and Ann Maguire and was instructed by Irwin Mitchell.
