From 7 – 10 November 2022 Abiodun Olatokun will be involved in a major international pro bono project in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Global Scholarships Programme is an initiative created by DLA Piper to support talented lawyers from the Global South in building the justice sector in their home countries. The firm sponsor the selected students (from countries such as Ethiopia, Afghanistan and Thailand) through their degrees. They also receive mentoring from leading lawyers, a leadership development course at the University of Oxford Said Business School (co-facilitated by Abiodun) and opportunities to intern with the firm’s clients.

The 2022 cohort of fellows represent the fourth group that Abiodun will have worked with. Abiodun has been part of the programme since its inception in 2017, devising tailored rule of law programmes for cosmopolitan groups of international lawyers in Tanzania, Kenya and online.
