James Laddie KC and Edward Kemp acted for Mr Ferri-Ricchi in what is understood to be the highest value bonus claim ever to have been brought before the Dubai International Financial Centre Court of First Instance.
The case raised important issues around unlawful deductions and the employee’s right to terminate for cause under the DIFC Employment Law.
The case settled on day 3 of the 8-day speedy trial for a confidential payment to Mr Ferri-Ricchi and the discharge of an earlier injunction order made by Mr Justice Black KC.
