The respondent applied to have an application for financial relief pursuant to the Matrimonial and the Family Proceedings Act 1984 dismissed, on the basis that he enjoyed diplomatic immunity. The court held that the respondent’s assertion of diplomatic immunity was spurious, and refused to allow the application.
