Segregation of male and female pupils amounted to discrimination

Appeal considered whether the segregation of male and female pupils over a certain age for a mixed-sex school amounted to discrimination. The Court unanimously allowed the appeal and held that the policy of strict segregation resulted in detriment and less favourable treatment for both male and female pupils.
