Risk of a denial of justice if men returned to Rwanda

Re: Government of Rwanda v Nteziryayo & Ors [2017] EWHC 1912 (Admin)

The authorities sought the extradition of the respondents to face trial on charges arisen from the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The Court concluded that there was a real risk of a flagrant denial of justice if the respondents were returned to Rwanda and there was a real risk that innocent men would be wrongly convicted.

Julian B. Knowles QC was involved in this case.
