Professional misconduct proceedings discontinued
Professional conduct panel outcome: Hussain & Ors
The teachers contended that the proceedings should have been discontinued as it was not possible for them to receive a fair hearing, and that it would offend the Panel’s sense of justice and propriety for it to continue to hear the proceedings against the teachers, taking account of the circumstances of the case. It was held that the proceedings against the senior “Trojan Horse Teachers” should not continue, as a result of an abuse of process by the National College for Teaching and Leadership described as an “extraordinarily serious error of judgment”.
Claire Darwin was involved in this case.
