Planning authority decision concerning land use in the Green Belt upheld

Re: Connors & Anor case v Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government & Ors [2017] EWCA Civ 1850

Each appellant was a Gypsy or a Traveller who sought to appeal the decision of a local planning authority to refuse an application for planning permission for a material change of use of land in the Green Belt to enable a caravan or mobile home to be stationed upon it. The Court dismissed the appeals because each appellant had had their appeals determined by the Secretary of State, properly and lawfully on the planning merits.

Chris Buttler was involved in this case.
