Application by the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis for an order to impose notification requirements for a period of 15 years on the defendant. This is the first case in which a notification order has been contested in respect of a person convicted outside the UK of a corresponding foreign office. The case raises a number of issues regarding the interpretation of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008.
