The imposition and renewals of a control order on an individual were lawful and based on reasonable grounds for suspecting that he had been involved in terrorist-related activity. However, a condition preventing him from living with his family in Derby, requiring their relocation to Cardiff, was not necessary.
Danny Friedman QC and Michelle Butler were involved in this case.
