Home Secretary challenge regarding duty under ECHR, art 4 to assist trafficking victims

Re: R (TDT) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2016] EWHC 1912 (Admin)

Whether the Home Secretary had breached her protective or operational duty under ECHR, art 4, on the grounds that she failed to take reasonable steps to protect the claimant in the circumstances where she knew or ought to have known that there was a credible suspicion that he was a victim of trafficking.

Chris Buttler, Helen Mountfield QC and Nick Armstrong were involved in this case.
