Applicant held to be two years older than claimed

Re: R (SB) v Secretary of State for the Home Department (JR/1168/2017)

The issue before the tribunal was whether the applicant was born in 1998 or 2000. The applicant argued the latter and thus contended that he was 17 and a minor. The Court held that, after taking all the evidence into account, on the balance of probabilities the applicant was born in 1998 and no later.

Chris Buttler was involved in this case.
