EVENT: Is the Greek public debt legal?

On Friday 17 March, Professor Christian Tams will participate in a debate regarding the legality of the Greek public debt hosted by the Student Tribunal for International Dispute Settlement (STIDS) at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. The debate will focus on the question of the conformity to international law of the 2015 Memorandum of Understanding between the European Union, Greece and the Bank of Greece (August 2015). The tribunal will hear Professor Antonios Tzanakopoulos (University of Oxford) and Professor Tams, respectively defend the interests of the European Union and the Hellenic Republic.
