ICJ allows Somalia’s maritime boundary claim to proceed against Kenya
In a judgment handed down today, the International Court of Justice has rejected Kenya’s preliminary objections to the jurisdiction and admissibility of Somalia’s maritime boundary claim against Kenya. The Court will now proceed to determine the merits of Somalia’s claim. Professor Philippe Sands QC and Edward Craven are representing Somalia in the case.
