Eleni has particular expertise in European law, Competition law, Public law, Human Rights law and Employment law . She has argued cases in the Court of Appeal, High Court and the Employment Appeal Tribunal in her own right, and has been led before the House of Lords. She also regularly undertakes VAT & Duties tribunal work, education law and general commercial law work.

She was appointed to the Attorney General’s ‘C’ panel for UK government work in 2003 and to the Attorney General's B Panel in February 2007. As well as acting for individuals and commercial organisations, Eleni regularly advises and appears for the Treasury Solicitor, HM Commissioners for Revenue and Customs and the Office of Fair Trading, as well as for public authorities.  She was named 'Lawyer of the Week' in The Times 15 March 2005 for her work on the Shabina Begum case, regarding the school girl who was not permitted to wear the Islamic jilbab to school, acting with Cherie Booth QC.

Eleni is also currently instructed in an EC discrimination case on behalf of ninety-three members of the Joint European Torus nuclear fusion project against the European Commission, before the Court of First Instance (Case T-45/01, Sanders and others v. Commission of the European Communities) and in the related case of Eagle and others v Commission of the European Communities.

Before coming to the bar, Eleni undertook postgraduate work at Oxford University (B.C.L. and D.Phil) and the European University Institute in Florence (L.L.M. in European and International Law). While pursuing her doctorate on legal interpretation, she also taught law at Oxford University.

Eleni became a member of Matrix in April 2004. She was a tenant at Hailsham Chambers for four years from 2000 and, before that, completed her pupillage at Brick Court Chambers. Eleni is a member of the editorial team of 'The European Advocate'. She is fluent in Greek (bilingual) and has some Italian and French.
