David ParkerDavid joined Matrix in August 2009. David has worked in barristers' chambers since 1982, commencing in Chancery and Commercial Chambers in London until 1989 when David moved to Exeter and became Senior Clerk at two sets of Chambers there. David is responsible for managing and promoting the practices of the barristers in Team M which deals with Employment, Media and Information, and Commercial Law.

Zoe Mellor Zoe has worked in the legal sector since 1992, starting as Parliamentary Clerk to the Director of Public Prosecutions. She is one of the original members of the staff team and has been on the practice desk since May 2000. Zoe has experience across all of Matrix’ practice areas. Zoe works part time, Tuesday-Thursday. She lives in north London and spends her days away from Matrix trying to keep up with her three young children.

Phillip SailsburyPhilip Joined Matrix in September 2009. He commenced his Clerking career in 1999 at Brick Court Chambers before joining 4 Paper Buildings (now Hailsham Chambers) in 2002. Philip recently achieved a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) through the Open University. When he manages to find some free time in between studying he likes to play squash, scuba dive or snowboard.

Matt NewisMatt joined Matrix in September 2006 having completed his A-levels. He came to Matrix on work experience in 2004 and was keen to come back. He has been a Practice Assistant since April 2008 having started Matrix life as an Outdoor and Office Assistant.
Assistant Practice Manager (currently on leave)
Ria LillisIn March 2007, Ria joined Team T dealing with crime and due process, extradition, regulatory and public international law. Ria moved over to Team M to broaden her experience. She gained an English Degree in 2001 and has enjoyed working previously as a clerk to Judiciary at the Old Bailey, and Chambers based in the Temple. A keen marathon runner, Ria lives in Kent with her husband. They had their first baby in November 2009 and is currently on maternity leave.
Assistant Practice Manager (currently on leave)
Carla StammersCarla joined Matrix in 2000. Her role at Matrix is to assist the Practice Manager and aid smooth running of the team in his absence. This includes fees negotiation, diary management, liaising with instructing solicitors with regard to existing and new cases, and generally giving guidance to more junior members of the team. Carla is currently on maternity leave.
