Matrix was set up by a number of barristers looking to achieve a different working model from the traditional English chambers – we have recently been dubbed “the future of The Bar" – and are proud of our record of innovation.  We work in a modern environment where diversity and accessibility are widely championed, and out-dated practice is challenged.

Clare Montgomery QC is currently Chair of our Management Committee. Matrix’ operational and administrative structures are managed by our Chief Executive, Lindsay Scott. Our Practice Director is Amanda Illing and Kevin Hooper is our Chief Operating Officer.
