Jessica Simor is widely recognised as a leading junior in the fields of EU, Competition and Public law, advising and acting for regulators, private companies and government departments. Her recent cases include WWF v Council Case C-355/08 (locus standi of WWF to challenge an EC measure of fishing quotas); R (Wheeler) v Prime Minister (2008) (challenge to lack of referendum on Lisbon Treaty); R (Stagecoach and others) v Secretary of State for Transport and others (2010) (state aid in the bus sector); Barratt Homes Ltd v DWR Cymru Cyfyngedig (2009) (Supreme Court case regarding waste and water regulation); R (GNER) v ORR (discrimination and state aid in the train sector).
She is also one of the country's leading human rights lawyers.
