Lorna joined Matrix in 2006 as an established media law junior. Her specialist areas of practice include defamation, privacy, media related human rights law, contempt, harassment and reporting restrictions in the civil, family and criminal courts. She also has experience in data protection, freedom of information and PACE and Terrorism Act production orders and a strong interest in civil actions against the police and sports law. Lorna has handled a large number of actual or threatened applications for privacy injunctions, Norwich Pharmacal applications and has also conducted contempt proceedings arising from breaches of injunctions.
She has extensive litigation experience acting for both claimants and defendants and has acted for television companies, national and local press, publishing houses, Members of Parliament, government departments, local authorities, trades unions and the police, as well as individuals.
