The members of Matrix specialist Inquests team have a strong commitment to, track record in, representing families and relatives in ground-breaking cases in this area.

Members have appeared in a number of susscessful applications for judicial review of the decisions of coroners and have led the way in cases covering key issues including:

* Inquest verdicts and the procedural requirtements of the European Convention on Human Rights, and

* neglect surrounding the deaths and suicides of prisoners

And members have written extensively on this area of law.  Danny Friedman is the co-author (with Leslie Thomas and Louise Christian) of "Inquests: A Practitioners Guide", oublished by the Legal Action Group in 2002.
